About the role
Due to continued growth and demand for our services and customer oriented ethos, Geoffrey Robinson wish to employ an outstanding and well motivated Mechanical Project Manager. Based at our Billingham headquarters, you will be responsible for your own budgets and success, supported by our very experienced mechanical team of engineers.
You will estimate, project manage, people manage and take responsibility for projects from conception to completion, and with the assistance of our Managing Director, Directors, Business Development Manager and Administration team, will help to grow and sustain the Geoffrey Robinson business in the North of England.
Make a positive contribution to all aspects of the business, as an engineering professional, (estimating, CDM, project management, specification, CAD, BIMs, surveys etc.) accompanied with HR input (employ local people, mentor, guide and take the leadership role in developing the business and increasing our regional profile and influence).
Review and evaluate all projects works, ensuring compliance to specifications, drawings and customer requirements. Re-engineer customer or/and consultant requirements for greater efficiencies, better cost or improvement in quality, longevity or better solutions. Always be compliant with building standards and regulations.
Manage local employees and those approved sub-contractors who work for us, treating the customer as the priority, being open and honest with the people we serve.
Manage, oversee and prioritise multiple concurrent projects, ensuring success of projects from concept to completion, with assured quality and compliance to all HQSE requirements, in order to achieve the required growth and profitability for the company. Lead the team.
Significant mechanical and/or electrical building services engineering experience in the commercial and/or industrial sectors (NHS and MOJ would be beneficial)
Industry recognised trade or professional qualification
A strong desire for progression and responsibility, being fully supported by our management team, who wants to lead this exciting growth opportunity.
